The new VHX Systems fit directly into the stock instrument dash of a 1978-82 Chevy Corvette without modification, adding a wealth of features to this iconic vehicle.
Speedometer and Tachometer gauge housing has been completely replicated in billet aluminum, powdercoated in a flat black to keep the original theme.
Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Voltmeter, Fuel Level and an additional LCD Message Center attach directly to the back side of the stock center console bezel.
Fully lit needles, backlit faces, and highly visible LCD message centers are a few of the things that you can see which set the VHX Series apart from yesterday’s traditional approach to instrumentation. A few of the features which you don’t normally see are the micro-controlled precision stepper motors, solid state sensors for unparalleled accuracy, and user-customizable display feedback, all supported by an unrivaled limited lifetime warranty which has become the standard for Dakota Digital instrumentation systems .

Ari Ioannides –
Making the old gauges work with the new LS3 upgrade in my 78 Corvette was going to be an issue. We opted to tie this gauge set into the OBDII interface and all works very well. Some tweaking for the new 24 gal fuel tank was needed. Now they look great and work well, however, it would be nice if the dash featured the curved cover like the originals. The white on black is a little hard to read during the day. Larger numbers on the gauges would be nice and warrant 5-stars.
