355MM FULL FLOATING ROTORS FOR C6Z AND GS (PAIR)

Category:

The ultimate in braking performance, pedal feel, heat dissipation, and longevity. Fits stock C5, base C6, and aftermarket brake calipers utilizing the same 325mm rotor and are made in the USA.

If you spend any amount of time at the track with your stock C6Z or GS then carrying a few spare rotors is a good idea.  Stock blank rotors can be cracked in as little as 3 hours of track time.  Additionally as solid rotors heat up they tend to warp and distort in odd directions, causing vibration through your brake calipers that can be felt all the way through your car and even cause pad-knock back in extreme cases.

AMT Motorsport eliminates all of these issues with our Full Floating 2 Piece Rotors. Utilizing the venerable DBA5000 rotor and adding a full floating 6061-T6 aluminum hat and custom hardware, the AMT Full Floating Rotor Kit offers the ultimate in braking performance, pedal feel, heat dissipation, and longevity.

The rotor hats are made from 6061-T6 aluminum which maintains a higher level of strength at elevated temperatures than 7075 aluminum.  The hats have captured hex nuts which aid in install of new rotors and allow needed clearance for these rotors to be run on stock C5 and C6 base calipers.  After machining the hats are black anodized and laser engraved (bare aluminum shown in pictures).

The DBA5000 rotor is DBA’s top of the line motorsport rotor.  We make it better by adding slots to accept our custom machined 17-4PH bushings, which allow the rotor to float both radially and axially.  NAS hardware and locking nuts keep the whole assembly together in the hottest of racing conditions.

These rotors were run the entire season on our C5Z race car with AP Pro5000R 6 piston calipers and the rotors themselves are barely worn. This setup stops the car at 1.7Gs of negative decel time after time with zero fade and excellent pedal feel.

These rotors will fit on stock C6 Z06 and Grand Sport Corvettes using the stock 355mm rotor.

All machined parts are made at AMT in New York, USA.
